Antonio and Jessica Marquez
Antonio and Jessica Marquez are career missionaries and are both licensed ministers of the UPCI. They have ministered in conferences across the U.S., Canada, Central America, Mexico, and the Caribbean. Antonio Marquez, Sr. has been a missionary kid almost all his life, having moved to Mexico with his parents at the early age of 6. At the age of 15, he began pasturing his first church, with his father, the late Alex Marquez, Sr. Upon attending Texas Bible College, he met and married his wife, Jessica M. Castillo, a home missionary kid, who was also a student at TBC. Ten days after their wedding, they were residing in Mexico as AIM workers. During their term on AIM, they had both their children, Antonio Marquez, Jr. (11) and Lexy Marquez (10), both born in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. In 2000 the Marquez’ were appointed at General Conference in Birmingham, Alabama. Antonio Sr. served in most every capacity of leadership in Mexico, from District Youth Leader, to District Superintendent, and member of the National Board. Jessica also served the Ladies’ Ministries as District Ladies’ President, and spoke throughout the country in many Ladies’ Ministries’ retreats and conferences. The Marquez’ also pioneered several churches that are still thriving and growing today. In the year 2007 the Marquez’ were appointed to the country of Costa Rica. Brother Marquz served as the National Secretary and National Board member, while Sister Marquez served as the WNOP coordinator. They were able to see hundreds of souls filled with the Holy Ghost and many people were healed. They both spoke and ministered in various conferences across the country. In the year 2009, a need was presented to the Marquez’ concerning the Dominican Republic. They accepted the challenge presented to them, and have grown to love and feel a heavy burden and call for the Dominican people. During their time on the field, they held many tent revivals and crusades where they were able to see hundreds of people receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. In the months of April and May, Pentecost services were held where close to 500 received this precious gift. They witnessed notable healings transpire, and both traveled and taught as professors in the three Bible Colleges in the part of the country where they live. They work as the missionaries of the northern part of the country and reside in the city of Santiago, the second largest city in the Dominican Republic. Upon returning to the field, they will pioneer a new church in this city and hope to start many college campus ministries. They have joined in with the vision that their fellow missionaries, Brother Steve and Sister Kari Shirley, have and are excited to be a part of the great revival that the Lord is pouring upon this great nation!
