Antonio and Jessica Marquez
Antonio Marquez first went to Mexico at the age of six with his parents, Alex and Henrietta Marquez. By the time he was 16, he had helped his father begin many churches. In 1995, he met his future wife, Jessica
Castillo, a native Texan, at a youth rally. Three years later they met again at Texas Bible College. Two weeks after they were married, they returned to Mexico as AIMers. Antonio was then the district treasurer and presbyter of one of the largest sections of the district. During this time they started three different churches and were pastoring all three at the same time. The Marquezes were appointed as missionaries at the 2000 General Conference in Birmingham, Alabama. Since that time, they have continued to superintend
the Michoacan District and have started yet another church in the city of Morelia.
